TRUMPET

    The trumpets has been with people for a long time. The metal trumpet dates from the 2nd millennium BCE in Egypt, when it was a military signal instrument sounding only one or two notes. Later forms included the natural trumpet of the 16th–18th centuries and, following the invention of valves about 1815, the modern valve trumpet. 

    The trumpet has used into every genre of music. Famous jazz trumpeters include Louis Armstrong, Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan, Harry James, Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval, Miles Davis, Herb Alpert, Chuck Mangione, Wynton Marsalis. Prominent classical trumpet players are Maurice Andre, Thomas Reiner, Rafael Mendez, David Krauss, Bud Herseth, Phil Driscoll and others.
