Franck Bridge

Frank Bridge linked English late Romantic music with a more searching 20th-century language. A composer, violist, conductor, and teacher from England, he wrote chamber music, orchestral works, songs, and piano pieces. His influence also passed through Benjamin Britten, who studied with him and later honored him in Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge.
