Gus Cannon

Gus Cannon helped shape the early string-band and jug-band side of American blues. A banjo player and singer from the USA, he recorded with Cannon’s Jug Stompers and became linked with songs such as Walk Right In. His music connects rural blues, ragtime rhythm, comic energy, and the rough social sound of early recording.
