Gerry & The Pacemakers

Gerry and the Pacemakers were a Liverpool pop group central to the Merseybeat sound of the early 1960s. Led by Gerry Marsden, the band became known for direct melodies, bright ensemble sound, and songs that crossed from pop charts into local identity. Their recordings sit beside The Beatles in the first wave of British beat music.
