Bob Haggart was an American jazz double bass player, composer, and arranger known for his work in Dixieland and swing music. He started his career as a member of the Bob Crosby Band in 1935, where he arranged and composed notable pieces such as Big Noise from Winnetka and South Rampart Street Parade. After the band dissolved in 1942, he worked as a session musician for Decca Records, collaborating with renowned artists such as Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, and Ella Fitzgerald.
