Heinrich Isaac

Heinrich Isaac stands among the major Franco-Flemish composers of the Renaissance. Active in Florence and at the Habsburg court, he wrote masses, motets, songs, and ceremonial music that moved easily across European languages and institutions. The large collection Choralis Constantinus places him near Josquin des Prez in the history of sacred polyphony.
