Alfonso X el Sabio

Alfonso X el Sabio, also known as Alfonso the Wise, was a 13th-century king of Castile and León who was known for his love of music and patronage of the arts. He was also a composer and is credited with writing several pieces of music himself. Some of his works, such as the Cantigas de Santa Maria, remain popular today and are considered important examples of medieval Spanish music.
