Aphrodite's Child was a Greek rock and pop band that was active from 1967 to 1972. It was formed by Vangelis Papathanassiou, Demis Roussos, Loukas Sideras, and Silver Koulouris. The band was named after a track from Dick Campbell's album Sings Where It's At. Aphrodite's Child initially gained success in Europe with hit singles like Rain and Tears, End of the World, I Want to Live, and It's Five O'Clock, before pivoting to progressive rock with their third and final album, 666 (1972). The album was an ambitious concept album inspired by the Book of Revelation and is considered one of the top progressive and psychedelic albums of all time.
