Bartolomeo Bettera was an Italian painter, born on August 28, 1639, in Bergamo. He is known for his still-life paintings, particularly of musical instruments, that resemble those of his master Evaristo Baschenis, but with a distinct interpretation of the Baroque style, lighting, and spatial distribution. Bettera's works were not widely recognized until the late 19th century as they were initially cataloged under Baschenis. His paintings are held in collections across Europe, including Vienna and Dresden, and several private collections in Bergamo. His son Bonaventura was also a painter, and his works similarly featured musical instruments. Bettera is believed to have died around 1699.
