Collin Walcott—an American musician—was known for his work in jazz and world music. He actively performed from the 1960s to the 1980s. Walcott was one of the first sitar players to incorporate jazz elements into his music. He co-founded the band Oregon and also played on Miles Davis' album On the Corner. Tragically, Walcott died in a bus crash in 1984 while on tour with Oregon. His notable pieces include Cloud Dance, Grazing Dreams, and Dawn Dance.
