Münchener Bach Orchester & Choir

The Münchener Bach-Orchester and Choir are closely associated with German Baroque performance and the choral music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Based in Germany, the ensemble became especially linked with conductor Karl Richter. Its recordings helped define a mid-20th-century approach to Bach: monumental, disciplined, and rooted in strong choral architecture.
