Badar Miandad Khan was a Pakistani qawwali singer, born in Pak Pattan in 1960. He hailed from a notable family of qawwals, with his father and grandfather also being well-known qawwals. Badar Khan started his career in 1975 and composed music for several Pakistani and Bollywood films. He was famous for experimenting with qawwali remix projects and produced a best-selling qawwali fusion album—Good Karma 1—with Suresh "Baba" Varma. Some of his popular qawwals include Awwal Hamd Sana-e-Ilahi, Dam Dam Hussain Maula Hussain, and Ban Ja Malang Ghaus Da. Badar Khan died in 2007 at the age of 47 due to a heart attack, after suffering from diabetes and blood pressure problems.
