Coldplay is a British pop-rock band formed in 1996, consisting of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Guy Berryman. They have been one of the most successful bands of the 2000s selling nearly 80 million records worldwide, including 50 million albums. Coldplay achieved a commercial breakthrough with their debut album Parachutes which won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
