André Bouys

André Bouys (1656–1740) was a French portrait painter and mezzotint engraver who studied under François de Troy. He gained admission to the Academy in 1688 and painted portraits of many notable people including musician Marin Marais. Bouys also engraved several portraits, including those of himself and his first wife.
