FLUTE

The earliest example of a Western flute was discovered in the Hohle Fels cave near Ulm, Germany. The five-finger flute, made from the bone of a griffon vulture, is thought to be at least 35,000 years old.

The modern flute is made of wood or metal. It had it its final transformation into the current design during the Classical era.
