Christian Gottlieb Scheidler

    Christian Gottlieb Scheidler (1747-1829) was a German musician and composer. He was known for his skills as a cellist, bassoonist, and virtuoso on the lute and guitar. He served as a court musician in Mainz and later became a private music teacher in Frankfurt. Scheidler is considered one of the last virtuosos of the lute and an early representative of guitar playing.
