David Sancious is an American musician known for his contributions to alternative rock, jazz, jazz fusion, classical, blues rock, and funk. He was an early member of the E Street Band, accompanying Bruce Springsteen on the first three albums, and later returning for several projects. Sancious is renowned as a keyboard player and guitarist. He formed his band, Tone, after leaving the E Street Band, and produced albums with a fusion of progressive rock and instrumental jazz. Sancious's versatility led to collaborations with renowned artists such as Stanley Clarke, Narada Michael Walden, Zucchero Fornaciari, Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel, Jack Bruce, and Sting. In 2014, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the E Street Band.
