The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra (ABO) is a period instrument orchestra founded in 1989 by Paul Dyer and Bruce Applebaum. The orchestra is based in Sydney and specializes in the performance of baroque and classical period music. They play both well-known and rare works, using replica instruments from the 18th century. The group performs regularly in major concert halls in Brisbane and Melbourne and mainly hires the Sydney City Recital Hall as their main venue.
