Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee is an Indian sitar and surbahar player of the Imdadkhani gharana. He was born in Bhilai, India, in 1955, and started his music training under his father, Acharya Pandit Bimalendu Mukherjee. In 1970, he won two national-level music competitions and was endorsed by Satyajit Ray and South Indian veena player Balachander as the "sitar artist of the century." He has toured the world and has performed in over 25 countries.
