Jugalbandi
Jugalbandi is a duet form in Indian classical music built around dialogue rather than simple accompaniment. Two soloists, often from different instruments, gharanas, or traditions, share and answer musical ideas within a raga framework. The form can bring together figures such as Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan, making contrast, imitation, and mutual invention part of the performance itself.
