Cocteau Twins
Cocteau Twins—a Scottish rock band—was active from the 1970s to the late 1990s. They were known for their dream pop, ethereal wave, gothic rock, and post-punk sound. The band consisted of Robin Guthrie (guitars, drum machine), Elizabeth Fraser (vocals), Simon Raymonde (multi-instrumentalist), and Will Heggie (bass). Cocteau Twins gained critical acclaim for their effects-laden sound and Fraser's soprano vocals often singing in an unintelligible language.
