The Eagles—an American rock band—emerged from Los Angeles in 1971. Their genre spans rock, country rock, soft rock, and folk rock. Comprising members Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill, and Deacon Frey, they achieved immense success through five number-one singles and six number-one albums. Notable songs include Take It Easy, Hotel California, and New Kid in Town. With six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards, the Eagles are one of the 1970s' most triumphant musical acts in North America.
