Archie Fisher is a Scottish folk singer and songwriter born in 1939. He comes from a family of singers and started performing at a young age. In the 1960s, he moved to Edinburgh and became a regular performer at folk clubs. Fisher released his first album in 1968 and has since released several solo albums. He is known for composing the song The Final Trawl and his performance of Witch of the Westmorland. Fisher also produced several folk albums with Makem and Clancy and hosted his own radio show on BBC Radio Scotland for almost three decades.
