Christoph Graupner was a German composer and harpsichordist of late Baroque music. He was active during the same time as Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, and George Frideric Handel. He composed a vast amount of music, including sinfonias, ouvertures, concertos, cantatas, and harpsichord partitas. Graupner's works fell into obscurity after his death due to legal battles and changing music styles but they have experienced a revival in recent years.
