Abdul Wahid Khan was a prominent Indian classical vocalist from the Kirana gharana, born in Kirana, Uttar Pradesh in 1871. He learned vocal and sarangi from his father before moving to Kolhapur to study under a famous master. He co-founded the Kirana gharana musical family with his cousin, but their relationship later soured. Despite being referred to as "Deaf Wahid Khan" due to his hearing impairment, he was one of the greatest icons of the Kirana gharana. He extended recitals of a raga from 20 minutes to up to an hour. His notable pieces include the ragas Patdip, Multani, and Darbari Kanada, recorded secretly in 1947. Notable students include Pandit Jaichand Bhatt, Begum Akhtar, and Mohammed Rafi. He died in 1949 in Saharanpur, India.
