Barry Sonnenfeld is an American filmmaker, born on April 1, 1953, in New York City. He initially worked as a cinematographer for the Coen brothers before directing successful films such as The Addams Family, Get Shorty, and the Men in Black trilogy. Sonnenfeld also directed Wild Wild West and Big Trouble, among other films. He is known for his unusual camera angles, offbeat dialogue, and his trademark filmmaking techniques.
