Cal Tjader
Cal Tjader was an American Latin Jazz musician who became known as the most successful non-Latino Latin musician. He played the vibraphone but was also accomplished on the drums, bongos, congas, timpani, and piano. He worked with many musicians from several cultures and is often linked to the development of Latin rock and acid jazz. Cal Tjader's notable pieces include La Onda Va Bien which earned him a Grammy Award in 1980.
