Charlie Watts was a British musician and drummer best known for being a member of the rock band the Rolling Stones. He was active from the 1960s to the 2020s forming one of the longest-lasting partnerships in rock history with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Watts started playing drums in the London rhythm and blues clubs and joined The Rolling Stones in 1963. Apart from his work with the band, he also had his own group—Charlie Watts Quintet—and was recognized as one of the greatest rock drummers of all time.
