Eugene Goossens
Eugène Goossens—a French-born conductor and violinist—made significant contributions to music. After studying in Bruges and Brussels, he settled in England. He joined the Carl Rosa Opera Company and later conducted various opera companies, becoming the principal conductor of the Carl Rosa Company. Notable for his association with the British National Opera Company, he conducted Sir Thomas Beecham's opera season.
