Art of Noise was an English avant-garde synth-pop group formed in 1983 by Gary Langan and J. J. Jeczalik, along with Anne Dudley, Trevor Horn, and Paul Morley. Their unique sound was created using digital sampler technology, which was new at the time. The band is noted for its innovative use of electronics, computers, and sampling in pop music. Their international hits include Kiss and Peter Gunn, which won a Grammy Award in 1986.
