Christian Rivet is a French composer, guitarist, and arts manager. He has been active since the 1980s. Rivet studied guitar at the Conservatory of Metz and later at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris. He has received guidance from renowned musicians such as Alexandre Lagoya, Alvaro Perri, Michel Debost, and Aurèle Nicolet. Notable pieces by Rivet include his flute concerto Quelque part dans l'inachevé and the ensemble piece Étoile double. He has performed as a soloist and collaborated with musicians like Emmanuel Pahud, Michel Portal, and the Quatuor Sine Nomine. Rivet has premiered works by other composers and serves as the artistic director of the Le Vent sur l'Arbre festival.
