The London Philharmonic Orchestra was established by Sir Thomas Beecham in 1932, and since then has been headed by many prominent conductors, including Sir Adrian Boult, Bernard Haitink, Sir Georg Solti, Klaus Tennstedt, and Kurt Masur.
The Orchestra is one of the world’s most esteemed symphony institutions, balancing its long history with a fine reputation as one of the UK’s most adventurous orchestras.
