The Irish Rovers

The Irish Rovers carried Irish folk song into North American television, recordings, and popular entertainment. Formed by musicians with roots in Ireland and based largely in Canada, the group joined pub song, comic storytelling, ballad singing, and family-friendly stage craft. The Unicorn, Drunken Sailor, and Wasn’t That a Party made their version of folk music part of a broad popular audience.
