Jairo Varela

Jairo Varela gave Colombian salsa one of its most durable voices. The songwriter, producer, and founder of Grupo Niche built a sound in Colombia around brass, chorus, urban storytelling, and dance rhythm. Songs such as Cali Pachanguero, Una aventura, and Gotas de lluvia helped make Colombian Latin dance music visible across the Americas.
