Alessia Tondo
Alessia Tondo is an Italian musician, vocalist, and songwriter known for her contribution to the Italian folk music scene. Born in 1991 in Apulia, southern Italy, she started her musical journey at the age of 6 by singing with her family in a folk music band. Alessia has been a part of many significant projects, such as La notte della taranta, an Italian world music festival, and collaborations with international musicians. She is the singer of the award-winning Italian contemporary folk band Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino since 2015. Alessia released her first solo album Sita in 2021, which is a personal narration of the healing rite, with a symbolic meaning related to the pomegranate fruit.
