Gary Rossington

Gary Rossington’s guitar helped define the Southern rock identity of Lynyrd Skynyrd. From the USA, he built a style around slide guitar, blues phrasing, and the twin-guitar language of 1970s rock. Songs such as Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, and Tuesday’s Gone carry much of his instrumental stamp.
