Ian Stewart

Ian Stewart was the pianist whose boogie-woogie and blues grounding helped shape the early Rolling Stones. Working alongside Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and the group’s first lineup, he connected British rock with American blues piano tradition. Though kept outside the official stage image, his playing remained part of the band’s studio and touring sound.
