Johann Christian Bach

Johann Christian Bach carried the Bach family name into the elegant public language of the Classical period. The youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach became known in London for operas, keyboard concertos, symphonies, and a graceful style that influenced the young Mozart. His music stands apart from the stricter contrapuntal world of his father and C. P. E. Bach.
