LOUIS ARMSTRONG

Louis Armstrong was an American trumpeter, singer, and one of the central figures in early jazz. His recordings with the Hot Five and Hot Seven, including West End Blues, helped define jazz soloing, swing phrasing, and vocal improvisation. Later songs such as Hello, Dolly! and What a Wonderful World made his voice familiar far beyond jazz audiences.
