Ludwig August Lebrun

Ludwig August Lebrun was one of the outstanding oboists of the Classical period. The musician from Germany wrote concertos and other works that show the oboe as a brilliant, vocal, and technically agile solo instrument. His career belongs to the Mannheim and early Classical world, where wind playing, orchestral refinement, and virtuoso display developed together.
