Paul Desmond

Paul Desmond was an alto saxophonist from the USA, best known for his long work with the Dave Brubeck Quartet. His dry, lyrical tone and understated phrasing shaped the sound of the group, and his composition Take Five became one of the best-known jazz standards of the 20th century.
