TRUMPET

The trumpet is a brass instrument with a bright, projecting tone used in ceremonial music, orchestras, jazz, military bands, and popular styles. It became central to jazz through players such as Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, and Dizzy Gillespie. In classical music it appears in concertos, fanfares, and orchestral writing from the Baroque period onward.
