Caetano Veloso is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, guitarist, and central figure of Tropicália. His repertory moves through Brazilian popular song, experimental pop, political memory, and international reinterpretations of older Latin American material, including Tomás Méndez's Cucurrucucú Paloma, which he performed in Pedro Almodóvar's Talk to Her.
