RAVI SHANKAR

Ravi Shankar was an Indian sitar player and composer who became one of the best-known ambassadors of Hindustani classical music. Trained in the tradition of Allauddin Khan, he brought Indian music to international audiences through concerts, recordings, and collaborations. His influence reached Western classical musicians, jazz players, and the popular music world of the Beatles era, especially through George Harrison.
