Antonio Lucio Vivaldi was an Italian Baroque composer, virtuoso violinist, and impresario. His influence on Baroque music was widespread across Europe during his lifetime. Vivaldi was a prolific composer, producing numerous instrumental concertos, choral works, and operas. His best-known work is the series of violin concertos called the Four Seasons. He is considered one of the greatest Baroque composers, alongside Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel. Vivaldi's music was lost for almost two centuries until the early 20th century when it underwent a revival, and many of his lost compositions were rediscovered.
