Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, also known as the Spanish or nylon-string guitar, is a plucked instrument closely associated with Spain and the European concert tradition. Its repertoire grew from earlier vihuela and lute music to works by Fernando Sor, Francisco Tárrega, and many 20th-century composers. The instrument combines melody, harmony, and counterpoint in a single performer’s hands.
